Banana shallots were formed by crossing the traditional onion and a shallot. This mild and sweet onion variety, with a hint of garlic aroma, is easy to handle in the kitchen. Thanks to its unique shape, it is also an eye-catcher in every dish as a peeled or sliced product.

The banana shallot is a favourite of many chefs because of its mild taste when compared to that of an onion. Just like the other onion and shallot varieties in our range they are real vitamin powerhouses, full of B6, B11 and fibers.
